Holiday Shows and Events in Lancaster County


Christmas, Kwanza, Hanukkah, Ramadan... no matter what you celebrate this season, it's a wonderful time of year to visit Lancaster County.  Quaint towns and villages are decorated, charming shops offer unique gifts and stocking stuffers, and local theaters and community groups perform holiday shows, plays and musicals that are sure to entertain while getting you into the holiday spirit!

Here's a list of concerts, events and shows for you to consider:

Music in the Home presents The Newstead Trio (December 6)  Michael Jamanis (Violin), Sara Male (Cello) and Xiu Pan (Piano) perform in the home of Marilyn Berger of Lititz.  Cocktails, hors d'oevres and   concert take place on Thursday, December 6 beginning at 5:30 pm.  Call Marilyn Davidson at 717-898-8676.  Tickets are $50 per person.

Christmas at the Cloister Choral Concert(December 10 - 11)  The renowned Ephrata Cloister Choir will delight audiences with a combination of new and old Christmas Carols, performed in the Historic Saal meeting room.  Concerts are December 10th & 11th at 6:30, 7:45 and 9:00 pm.  Tickets can be purchased over the phone or in person at the Cloister gift shop.  www.ephratacloister.org

Anything Goes at the Sharadin Bigler Theatre (Ephrata): (December 6 - 22)  One of best scores ever written.  Cole Porter’s immortal songs include “Blow, Gabriel, Blow,” “You’re the Top,” “It’s De-Lovely,” “Easy to Love,” “I Get a Kick Out of You” and the infectious title tune. A Christmas Carol at the Fulton Theatre: (December 1 - 27)  A miserly and miserable man, Ebenezer Scrooge greets each Christmas with a “bah humbug,” until he is visited one Christmas Eve by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. A Swingin' Christmas at the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre: (Now through December 23)  Everyone loves Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus... but what's their real story? Have fun as Mr. and Mrs. Santa take their grandchildren on a musical journey of how they met. Christmas in Paradise at the Rainbow Dinner Theatre: (Now through December 29)  A winner of Rainbow's 21st century play writing competition, and it's back by popular demand! Hershey Sweet Lights - Drive Thru-Light Show:   (Now through January 1)  Enjoy nearly 600 illuminated, animated displays from the comfort of your car as you drive through two miles of wooded trails.
